DIL: Monaghan Harps club are delighted to host the annual Darkness into Light walk commencing at 4.15am this Saturday, May 9. There is still time to register online or on the night, down at the club. T-shirts are very low in stock but you can wear your old one and it costs less to register this way. Please support Pieta, which delivers essential mental-health services in Monaghan Town, Clones and Carrickmacross.
IFL: We host Ballybay this Saturday in the Intermediate Football League at 7pm. All support appreciated.
Reserves: A busy weekend for our reserve teams brought two championship first-round wins. Our Division 1B lost away to Castleblayney in the league last Tuesday, but won at the same venue in the O’Duffy Cup on Sunday. Well done to Shane McGarry for making his debut for our Division 1Bteam.

Our Division Four lads kept their good run going with a win over Scotstown on Friday. Next up is a home game v Inniskeen tonight.
U-14: Our U-14s have another busy weekend, starting with Saturday’s games away to Magheracloone (Division One) and at home to Scotstown (Division Seven). The Division Five lads are in Kilmore on Sunday to play Scotstown. Last weekend saw our Division One side fall short in a good contest against Scotstown, with the Division Seven boys losing out to Magheracloone and the Division Five team winning in Aughnamullen.
U-12: Our U-12s will compete in Divisions One and Six in the upcoming league.
County: Hard luck to John McCrystal, Shea Corrigan and all involved with the county U-20s in last Wednesday’s Ulster Championship Final. Well done to Monaghan’s seniors on qualifying for the Ulster SFC Final.
Juvenile coaching: We were delighted to welcome our youngest juveniles for the return of our Saturday-morning football coaching. Thanks to everyone involved in the blitz we hosted last week.
