Golf Classic: Our 2026 Golf Classic takes place at Rossmore Golf Club this Friday and Saturday, June 26 & 27. Flag Day: Our annual street collection took place last Friday and Saturday. We would like to say a big thanks to everyone who gave their time to collect, to everyone who made a donation and to our juvenile committee for their efforts in co-ordinating this important fundraiser for the club.

Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday’s draw were 6, 13, 19 and 28. Jackpot of €2,700 not won. This week’s four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Luke Swift c/o Jim Dalton (Hurling Club); Sandra McAree c/o Séamus Treanor; Ben Boyle c/o Paddy Donnelly; and Damian Martin c/o Paddy Donnelly. The sellers’ prize of €20 was won by Séamus Treanor. Jackpot for Sunday, June 28 is €2,800. Thanks to everyone for continuing to support our Lotto and to the committee and the regular helpers for their efforts in keeping the show on the road and providing essential funding towards our development work over the last three decades. We would greatly appreciate if every family involved in the club would consider setting up a recurring Lotto entry via ClubZap. IFL: We host Killanny in the Intermediate Football League on Friday night. All support appreciated.

 

Reserves: Our Division 1B team lost out to Truagh and Emyvale in the league this week. We wish Senan Cudden a speedy recovery from his injury from Friday’s game.

Minors: The Minor Football Leagues return from the exam break next Tuesday. We play Rock Sarsfields in Rockcorry. 

U-16: Our U-16 Division One team host Inniskeen in their league semi-final this Thursday evening at 7pm. Good luck to our players and management. The Division Four league resumes on Saturday morning, away to Inniskeen.

 

U-14: Hard luck to our U-14 Division Five team, who fell just short in an exciting Shield Final on Sunday morning. Goals by Dylan McCabe and Sam O’Neill, points from Shay Brennan, Shay McCaffrey and Ben Scott and a series of great saves by Harry Reidy kept us within a point of Donaghmoyne by half-time at 2-6 to 0-13. Our lads moved ahead midway through the second half when Sam O’Neill hit the net after a great run by Shay McCaffrey, but Donaghmoyne responded to retake the lead. The Harps kept plugging away, but Donaghmoyne held on to win by 1-19 to 3-11.

Last Man Standing: Our senior footballers’ fundraising Last Man Standing competition for the World Cup is well underway, with some surprise results in the early rounds seeing many entrants eliminated. Thanks to everyone who entered.
