We booked our place in the McElvaney Recycling Intermediate Football Championship Final with another hard-earned win over Emyvale in Scotstown last Saturday. A brace of points by Éimhín Morahan had us level at the first water break and with Conor Galligan adding one and Éimhín sending a deft lob into the net for the only goal, we led by 1-3 to 0-4 at half-time. The scores remained tight throughout the second half, with Éimhín, Conor and Gary White kicking points to keep us narrowly ahead, while our defence held firm to keep a valuable clean sheet. A second consecutive one-point win (1-9 to 0-11) has set up a clash with Cremartin in the final, which is set for the weekend of September 19/20. Please keep an eye on ClubZap/social media for fixture details.
