All club activity has been postponed since last Saturday as we said a sad goodbye to our dear friend, senior player and county U-20 captain Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh.

Training will begin to resume for our juvenile teams from this evening, while our U-15 Division One team have a league game away to Clontibret this evening at 7.30. We have rescheduled reserve, U-19 and senior games on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Thanks to the county board and Clontibret for postponing the SFL game. We would respectfully request that the main gate next to the stand is not used to access the pitches over the next few days.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who helped give Ógie a fitting send-off over the last few days and to every individual and club who sent condolences. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Ó Dufaigh family at this time.

This has been a very difficult period for all of us and in particular for our young players. If you are aware of any child/adult that is struggling to cope over the coming days or weeks please let our Healthy Club Officer Úna Forde know and we can put whatever supports are needed in place. We have made contact with voluntary services and the HSE and the supports are available if needed. Please talk to Úna in confidence and she will sign post you in the right direction.
