From this evening, one very important road, Ógie Ó Dufaigh Way/Slí Ógie Uí Dhufaigh, will become our way in and way home from Gavan Duffy Park. All club members are invited to join with the Ó Dufaigh family and Monaghan County Council for the unveiling of the road at Old Cross Square at 7.30pm. A plaque will be unveiled at the clubhouse by two of our senior players, Aodhán Óg McAnespie and Lochlainn Power. This will be followed by the book launch of Ómós d'Ógie in our clubhouse, with our guests set to include Con O’Callaghan and Gráinne McElwain. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided and this will be a fitting tribute to Ógie, whose first Anniversary Mass will take place tomorrow (Saturday) in St. Joseph’s at 10am.

Ógie and his family are never far from our thoughts and we send the Ó Dufaigh clann our best wishes this weekend.
